Constructing Better Health News Updates signs up to Constructing Better Health


Bedford-based asbestos removal company, is putting the health of its employees first by signing up to the Constructing Better Health (CBH) scheme, which offers information and software to help with the management of employee work related health data.

The CHAT (Construction Health Action Toolkit) database and software package offered by CBH will enable to create an occupational health action plan for each worker. The associated health surveillance and monitoring will help to ensure that’s workers are not damaging their health in the course of their work.

Gareth Dickson, director of, said: “We are delighted to be one of the first asbestos licensed companies to upload all our staff on the CBH CHAT database. As a company we continually look for additional ways we can achieve best practice when it comes to health and safety management. Through the CBH we can now be assured that we’re doing all we can to protect the health of our employees.”

As a member of the scheme,’s employees will be able to carry a CBH health card which identifies them to site managers as having completed ‘fitness for task’ assessments and relevant health checks.
